Conquer Video Game Design With Advanced 8-Week Immersion Program

Discover how to design video games like the pros, rapidly increase your output and skillset, improve your workflow & creativity – and have fun doing it – with fellow game designers in a cutting-edge online school

The Advanced Game Design 8-Week Immersion Program has one singular goal: to help you conquer video game design with strategies and techniques used by the pros. How? By…

☑️ Applying cutting-edge video game design principles used by the biggest studios in the industry (this is not taught anywhere else, including universities)

☑️ Rapidly collecting feedback on your games so you know with absolute certainty it will be a hit

☑️ Helping you create an impressive portfolio to improve your chances of getting hired by a respectable game studio

I know exactly what it’s like to sit down to try to bring your video game ideas to life, to put all your energy, blood, sweat and tears into that process, only to compare it to the games that you love and look up to, and feel like it just falls short.

That’s where I, Alexander Brazie, can help.

Who is Alexander Brazie?

My name is Alex Brazie, also known as “Xelnath”. I’ve been a full-time video game designer for over 13 years.

I’ve worked on games that have sold hundreds of millions of copies, including World of Warcraft, League of Legends, and more recently, Ori And The Will of The Wisps.

I’ve helped train professional teams such as Activision’s Call of Duty’s design team.

I’ve consulted on games like Starcraft 2, Hearthstone, and Diablo 3.

I live and breathe this stuff.

In fact, Blizzard producer Cesar Gonzalez, has said:

“Working with Alex has been one of the best experiences of my career. He is reliable, talented and a positive influence on every project he is a part of”.

Alex’s Students Have Landed Jobs At…

What My Students Have Accomplished

But what I’m most proud of is helping countless designers in their own journeys. And I’m proud some of them now work for their dream studios like Blizzard, Sony Santa Monica, Activision, and Bethesda.

One student got his dream job with Jam City. He’s now a senior designer for the mobile gaming company.

Another student was hired as a narrative implementer at Santa Monica Studio for one of his favorite games, God of War.

Another even started his own design studio in Brazil.

And then there’s Josef and Simone who said, “We completed a 3-year university program on game design, and those lessons were theory heavy and not as immediately practical compared to what was taught in the Advanced Game Design Immersion Class.”

The reason I’ve helped so many students find success with game design is because of the core curriculum. It’s designed to shortcut your learning process, so you can design truly amazing games without having to go through a decade of trial and error like I did.

And perhaps most incredible at all, one of my recent students, Justin, landed an industry job as an assistant producer exactly 7 weeks after joining the Immersion Program!

He shared the exciting news, and how the course helped him nail his interview in the private community Slack group:

Justin landed an industry job as an assistant producer for Gamevil exactly 7 weeks after he joined the Immersion Program.

The reason I’ve helped so many students find success with game design is because of the core curriculum. It’s designed to shortcut your learning process, so you can design truly amazing games without having to go through a decade of trial and error like I did.

How The Immersion Program Can Help You Design Amazing Games

Once you sign up, you’ll have access to recorded lessons which includes video content you can watch on your own time each week. The video lessons detail the step-by-step processes of how some the most successful games were designed – and exactly how to apply those processes to your own game you want to bring to life.

These were strategies, techniques, and secrets I picked up in my 13+ year career working for some of the biggest studios in the world.

Then there’s the live group sessions every month for an entire year where we dive deeper with additional content, further discussion and get all of your most pressing questions answered.

And then there’s the bonus community “Think Tank” Slack group where you can get all your questions answered as well as network with other game designers in the industry, many of whom are already working at AAA studios.

And finally, at the end of the 8 weeks, you’ll have a 1-on-1 session with me where we finalize the game you’ll be working on, and go over a customized career game plan for you.

And although the immersion program is nowhere as time-consuming or expensive as a 4-year college degree, it’s received support from universities such as the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Once you enroll, you find this course to be more practical and relevant than most of the university programs out there because everything you’ll learn is actually being used today by the leading game studios.

So if you’re looking to add more clarity, polish and professionalism in your games – the stuff that makes your games truly shine and satisfying to play, then keep reading to learn more about the Advanced Game Design Immersion Program.

So, what exactly do you get?

Classes start as soon as you enroll and here is exactly what you’ll get:

8 comprehensive course modules

These modules cover the 7 fundamentals principles that all great video games possess. This stuff is not taught anywhere else, including game design university programs. Instead, they’re based on current and relevant principles used by leading studios today.

These concepts are: clarity, satisfaction, motivation, fantasy, viscerality, and strategy. We cover each one in-depth. During week 8, we talk about how to polish your game and get it ready to ship.

Practical assignments, exercises, & handouts

At the end of each lesson, you’ll get assignments and exercises to drill in these important game design concepts. This is because knowing the theory is not enough. I want you to apply these strategies and techniques to improve your own games. When you finish the course, you’ll have real projects you can add to your portfolio and resume.

Monthly Group Calls

Once a month, I host a group session where we dive deeper with additional content, further discussion and get all of your most pressing questions answered. This gives you the opportunity to improve at an even faster pace than you would trying to figure things out on your own.

Lifetime access to all course content

Once you become a student of the Advanced Game Design Immersion Program, you’ll have access to all the course content for life, and receive lifetime updates.

1-Hour Private 1 on 1 Coaching session

And finally, at the end of the 8 weeks, you’ll have a 1 on 1 session with me where we finalize the game you’ll be working on, review any further questions you have, and set a customized career game plan for you.

Daily Direct Access to Myself and Other Professional Designers

When you join the Advanced Game Design Immersion program, you’ll have access to a high-quality, members-only community where you can ask questions, get in-depth feedback, and network with other like-minded members, many of whom are established in the industry.

A modular approach to learning

A module is a unit of coursework. Like a chapter in a book, it’s a unique piece of a whole all about accumulating specific skills & knowledge.

Modules organize content to allow for better evaluation and more focused revision & improvement.

We’ll also be working from the beginning to the end of the program together, as one.

This will maximize your learning potential, reduce uncertainties, and eliminate any potential hazards along the way.

Characterized course components

The lessons are curated and refined into an easy-to-follow         framework, encompassing many real-life examples of how I’ve used them in my own career and in games like League of Legends & World of Warcraft.

Most importantly, you’ll have access to practical exercises and an array of resources so you can immediately employ these lessons and grasp how the concepts are applied in popular games.

So there is no need to be overwhelmed… I’ve purposely made sure you have all the information necessary to guide you in transforming your ideas into exciting games!

BONUS #3: 3-Month Membership To My Private Game Design Think Tank Community (A $291 Value – Yours FREE)

This is something that’s never been done before and you won’t find this anywhere else.

I’ve created a private online community of serious game designers and key people in the industry. I call it the Think Tank and it’s where we support each other and uncover new ideas for our great work.

Currently, the group has designers, developers, and creative directors from studios like Blizzard, Riot, Activision, Jam City, Moon, Santa Monica Studio, and many more. You’ll be able to directly connect with the “big dogs” of the industry and ask for help, feedback and even gain opportunities to work on projects together. And of course, I’m also available in the group to answer questions and give feedback.

It normally costs $97 per month to join the Think Tank, and the spots are very limited (we want to keep the quality high). But as a member of my mentorship course, you’ll receive 3 months of access to this exclusive community for free. After that, you can keep your membership or cancel if you decide it’s not right for you, and you won’t be charged a single cent.

I’ve spent years perfecting the craft of game design, and then several more years implementing those skills into a digestible, tangible and real educational experience.

Because of that, I am confident that the Immersion Program will help you become a better game designer and advance your career.

But what if it doesn’t?

If you’re not feeling the results after the first 30 days of classes, then I don’t deserve your money.

If you don’t think the Immersion Program is going to totally transform your games, just show us you did the homework & action items and we’ll refund every cent.

There’s no risk for you, but the potential upside is huge.

How Do I Join?

When you join the Advanced Game Design immersion program, you can become a skilled designer without a fancy expensive degree or certification. You’ll be able to instantly apply these strategies to design games you can be proud of, that will blow away your friends, and receive positive feedback from players.

You’ll be highly sought-after by game studios because these skills aren’t common among entry level designers. These skills aren’t taught anywhere else, and most game designers only gain them after years of working for an established studio or through brutal trial and error, so this course is your opportunity to shortcut the process.

If this sounds exciting to you, then I encourage you to apply for the 8-week training program. I am taking new students by application only since it’s an advanced course. So if you’re interested, then click the button below to schedule a quick call with me (or someone from my team) to determine whether you’re a good fit for this program.

Will this course guarantee me a job in the gaming industry?

FPGD can certainly help you enhance your skillset, increase the value you can provide to a potential studio, and ultimately improve your chances of getting hired. Yet, It’s important to note that every person has unique experiences and applies the information in a different way. Thus, the experiences that I share from other people may not reflect the typical users’ experience or guarantee that anyone will achieve the same or similar results.

However, these results are meant as a showcase of what the best, most motivated Game Design Skill students have done and should not be taken as average or typical results.

Who is this course NOT for?

Primarily, It’s not for people who like the idea of designing a game but don’t want to start or actually do anything. Trust me, game design is not a lazy business. Most designers I know work really hard to stay on top.

No results are promised or guaranteed. You apply the concepts you learn from this course at your own risk.

On average, how much time do I need to commit to this course every week?

Depending on the topic and your experience with the topic, expect to spend 8-10 hours a week listening to the lesson, taking notes, and completing the exercises/worksheets in order to fully grasp and utilize the skills that I’ll be sharing with you in the lessons.

At the end of the day, game design is a time-intensive career. The more time and energy you’re able to invest in your efforts, the bigger and better your game project will be.
